Hello all,
Long time lurker, first time posting.
Looking at an insert and I have some doubts about authenticity. I have poured over pics, but keep vacillating between genuine and fake.
Areas of concern:
The nose of the 4 (seems like "Flatnose four"), but I've only seen those in black as per John's posts here and on various forums.
The outline of the numbers are not sharp/clean, but most examples I am comparing against seem to have rather sharp lines.
Things that seem promising:
The fading (front and back) seems not so out of line with others I've seen.
The "serifing" on some numbers seem consistent with some others I've seen.
The 6 seems to match well with other known genuine examples.
I'm leaning towards not legit, but bezel inserts seem to be the nut I can not crack in vintage watches. So, I thought I'd post here and get some advice from the pros.
On to the pics:
Once again, thank you to any and all that take the time to share their knowledge!
GMT red-back insert check, please.

Re: GMT red-back insert check, please.
The insert appears genuine. I don't believe it is possible to fake and age an insert like the one depicted.
Have a great weekend.
